Responsible for county highways and bridges. Contact the Belmont County Engineer's Office for dead deer located on a county road. Please contact the landowner if the deer is in the ditch along side a county road.

Agencies Principal authorities and types of assistance:
To conserve, protect and enhance soil, water, and land resources through educational programs and technical assistance to agriculture, forestry, and urban land owners. Also responds to House Bill 88 Complaints against silviculture or manure in the waters of the state. Contact the Belmont SWCD to report agriculture non-point source pollution, dead livestock, logging complaints and nuisance wildlife. If you suspect dead livestock was butchered, please contact the sheriff's department.

Enforce laws pertaining to the protection, propagation, taking, possession, management, and preservation of wild animals. Enforce hunting with/without permission, dumping or refuse, stream litter (anything entering water that shouldn't); coyote kills on livestock and wild animal damage (deer, waterfowl, turkeys) to private property.
